Security Officer - Telecom Patrol

As a Security Officer - Telecom Patrol in Hazleton, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting regular patrols and maintaining a visible presence within a dynamic technology-focused location. You will interact with employees and visitors, provide outstanding customer service, and respond to various security-related situations as needed. Pay Rate: $16.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the technology and media location, including both interior and perimeter areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or access.
• Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and/or irregularities as required by site procedures and Allied Universal protocols.
• Work collaboratively with site personnel and emergency responders to support the security and well-being of the location.
• Maintain awareness of the environment and communicate any potential concerns to the appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience in loss prevention is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
