Security Officer – Shopping Plaza Patrol

As a Security Officer – Retail Patrol in Pittsburgh, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail and mall locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible to guests and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication, supporting a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including responding to emergency situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support a secure environment.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and provide a visible Allied Universal presence.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter theft, vandalism, and other security-related concerns.
• Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and staff, addressing inquiries and providing directions or assistance as required.
• Document incidents, observations, and activities according to site protocols and Allied Universal guidelines.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency services when required by site protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
