Security Officer - Residential Access Specialist

As a Security Officer - Residential Access Specialist in CALABASAS, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a prestigious residential location, you will monitor entrances, conduct routine patrols, and remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and visitors by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Monitor access points at the residential community to help control entry and exit, verifying credentials of individuals entering the location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the residential property and perimeter, observing for unusual activity and reporting any concerns.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and/or irregularities encountered while on duty.
• Communicate professionally with residents, guests, and property management, providing information and assistance as needed.
• Work in varying environments and conditions as required by the residential location.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
