As a Security Officer Residential Access Control in Newport Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. Join Allied Universal at a residential community location where you will support access control and resident services while helping maintain a secure environment. You will greet residents and guests, verify credentials, manage badges and visitor access, and conduct routine patrols to help discourage security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, vendors, and deliveries by following site-specific access control procedures and supporting a positive community experience.
• Control entry and exit at designated access points by verifying identification, authorizations, and visitor purpose, and issuing visitor passes and/or directing approved visitors to appropriate locations.
• Monitor cameras, intercoms, alarms, and/or access control systems and report irregular activity in accordance with post orders and Allied Universal guidelines.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting management, emergency services, and/or dispatch as required and documenting actions taken.
• Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoffs, and conduct periodic exterior checks of gates, entrances, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or property damage.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have a minimum of 2 or more years of security-related experience.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
