Job Description

As a Security Officer Reception Driver in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support daily security-related operations. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license in the job state. Through strong communication, professionalism, and teamwork, you will help create a dependable presence while delivering outstanding customer service with integrity.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, screen visitors and/or deliveries, and maintain access logs to help support authorized movement throughout the location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, controlled access areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or security-related concerns.
• Assist with enforcing site rules for restricted areas, vehicle access, and visitor processing while documenting incidents, observations, and/or policy violations in a clear and timely manner.
  
  

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Candidates must have 1 year of law enforcement experience or 2 years of security supervisor/manager experience or 3 years of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
