Security Officer - Patrol

As a Security Officer - Patrol Specialist in Pensacola, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a government juvenile justice location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence that helps to discourage security-related incidents. You will document observations, respond to concerns with calm professionalism, and deliver strong customer service and communication to staff and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and staff at a government facility by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or public services as directed by post orders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, common areas and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity, identify maintenance or policy concerns and report findings.
• Monitor access points, verify identification and authorization, manage visitor processing and assist with contraband prevention measures per site procedures.
• Complete required documentation such as activity logs, incident reports and shift pass-downs, and communicate via radio and/or phone with site personnel as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have a minimum of 2 or more years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
• Possession of a guard card and/or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
