Security Officer - Patrol Rounds

As a Security Officer - Patrol Rounds in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns with calm, clear communication and deliver customer service that reflects Allied Universal values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity. Your presence and professionalism help support daily operations in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a financial services location.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout office areas, trading floor support spaces, lobbies, and the exterior perimeter, noting unusual activity and/or hazards and reporting findings.
• Monitor access points, validate credentials as required, and help to deter unauthorized entry through professional presence and adherence to post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with evacuations, medical calls, and/or other site alarms as directed.
• Complete routine documentation such as patrol logs, incident reports, and shift activity reports, and communicate updates to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Client requires proof of high school diploma and/or GED.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
