As a Security Officer Patrol Monitor in Birmingham, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a financial institution location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or customers by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a financial institution setting.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observed conditions according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the banking location, including lobbies, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter access points, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted and public areas, verify credentials when required, and report suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
• Support opening, closing, and daily operational routines by observing activity around customer service areas, ATM areas, and other designated locations while following Allied Universal post instructions.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• At least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
