Security Officer - Patrol Monitor Airport

As a Airport Security Professional - Patrol Monitor in Lihue, HI, you will safeguard the airport, staff, and it's facilities. Along with driving, patrolling, checking, and securing doors. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal serving a government location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment for all visitors and staff. Position Type: Part Time - Afternoon

Pay Rate: $22.50 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $3.93. The premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee. 

Job Schedule:

Requirements: 

• Valid Driver's License ( 1 years)
• 21 years of age
• Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening
• Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office
• Experience in CCTV Monitoring and 1 year of security experience

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, passengers, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of terminals, parking areas, perimeters, and other assigned areas; working environments and conditions may vary by post and/or location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or authorizations as directed, and help to control access to restricted areas in accordance with post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with crowd management and/or directing individuals to appropriate resources.
• Document routine patrol activity, incidents, and unusual observations in required logs and reports, and communicate timely updates to Allied Universal leadership and/or on-site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 1 years of security experience.
• Be 21 years of age.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for unarmed roles; 22 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
