As a Security Officer Patrol Emergency Preparedness in Oakland, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a utility location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, assist with access control, and provide outstanding customer service. You will communicate clearly with employees and visitors while supporting a caring, reliable team that acts with integrity and brings innovative solutions to daily operations.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control requirements, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and promptly report concerns through established channels.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of utility facilities, buildings, parking areas, perimeter fencing, gates, and other designated locations.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for personnel, contractors, deliveries, and vehicles in accordance with site requirements.
• Help to deter unauthorized activity by maintaining a visible presence and reporting unusual conditions, damaged infrastructure, or potential hazards to appropriate site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least two years of security-related experience is required.
• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
