Security Officer - Patrol Driver

As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver in Tamaqua, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine patrols, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, respond to reports and/or alarms, document observations, and deliver strong customer service through clear communication and teamwork. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license per AU Driver Policy Requirements.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to location personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout manufacturing and industrial buildings, production areas, parking areas, and the perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by verifying identification, directing visitors, and documenting entries and exits per site-specific requirements.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying Allied Universal management and/or site contacts as required.
• Complete daily activity logs, incident reports, and other documentation accurately and in a timely manner, and communicate observations that may impact operations to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
