Security Officer - Patrol and Alarm Response

As a Security Officer - Patrol and Alarm Response in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading tech and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, respond to alarms and service requests, and communicate clearly while delivering a customer-focused experience. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following post orders, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response procedures as directed.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions and outcomes per policy.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of offices, telecom equipment areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Control access at entrances and designated areas by verifying identification, managing visitor check-in, and directing individuals according to location procedures.
• Complete shift reports and other required documentation, communicate noteworthy activity to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership, and escalate issues as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR Certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
• Alarm Panel Experience is preferred.
• Customer Service Experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
