As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at an education location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to discourage security-related incidents. You will support access control practices, communicate clearly with staff, students, and visitors, and document observations using site technology. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, staff, and visitors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an education location.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of academic buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor direction, basic access control procedures, and reporting of suspicious or unusual activity using site reporting requirements.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site representatives and/or public responders as needed.
• Complete detailed reports of patrols, incidents, and security-related observations, and communicate timely updates to site contacts and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be 21 years of age.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
