As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that may help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to alarms and/or reports, document activity, and communicate clearly with store teams and guests while delivering helpful customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and shoppers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floor areas, loading and receiving zones, parking areas, and the perimeter, as directed by post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disruptive behavior, suspected theft concerns, and trespass issues, while coordinating with store management and/or local authorities when needed.
• Monitor access points and observe customer traffic patterns to help to deter unwanted activity, and report suspicious activity and/or policy violations according to site procedures.
• Complete reports, maintain shift logs, and communicate security-related information to management and Allied Universal supervision using required reporting tools.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
