Security Officer - Parking Garage Patrol

As a Security Officer - Parking Garage Patrol in Piscataway, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a high-end retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps reduce security-related incidents. You will greet and assist guests and team members, support access control and visitor guidance, and communicate observations clearly. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and guests by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail sales floor, stock areas, entrances, and exterior perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
• Monitor for suspicious activity, potential theft, and policy violations, helping to deter issues through high-visibility presence and timely reporting.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with store leadership and/or law enforcement as needed.
• Complete required documentation such as shift activity logs, incident reports, and observation notes, and communicate relevant updates during shift transitions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer Service Experience is preferred.
• State, County, or City Issued Security License is preferred.
• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• Loss Prevention is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
