Security Officer - Overnight - University Campus

As a Security Officer - Campus Patrol in Evanston, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated areas within an educational location, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a reassuring presence for the campus community. You will engage in routine patrols, remain visible, and deliver exceptional customer service through strong communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter potential security-related issues and maintain a visible presence.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist visitors, students, and staff with directions and general inquiries while maintaining a courteous and approachable demeanor.
• Collaborate with Allied Universal team members to support a secure environment within the education setting.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
