Security Officer - Overnight Patrol - Lower Manhattan

As a Security Officer - Overnight Patrol in Lower Manhattan, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a commercial real estate location. You will complete routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and assist with access points and badge activity as needed. You will also communicate clearly with tenants, visitors, and site teams while documenting observations and reporting concerns. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors by following Allied Universal post orders, security-related procedures, and site-specific policies within a commercial property location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of interior and exterior areas including lobbies, corridors, parking areas, loading docks, and building perimeter, documenting observations per site requirements.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarm activations, access concerns, disturbances, and calls for service, and request assistance from emergency responders when appropriate.
• Monitor access points and observe for unusual activity, policy violations, and/or hazards that could impact property operations, and help to deter unauthorized entry through presence and professional communication.
• Complete accurate reports and activity logs, communicate pertinent information to property management and/or supervisors, and support security-related emergency response activities as directed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Be 21 years of age.
• Access Control/Badge Experience - preferred.
• Customer Service Experience - preferred.
• Loss Prevention - preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
