What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by following site-specific procedures, access guidelines, and security-related protocols at a retail location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations to site leadership and/or local authorities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout sales floors, common areas, parking areas, receiving zones, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help to deter unauthorized access, support loss prevention efforts, and document security-related concerns.
- Assist with emergency response activities, de-escalation, and customer assistance during medical events, evacuations, alarms, and/or other site-related incidents.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
