As a Security Officer - Mobile Patrol Rounds in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a leading technology location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will report and document security-related activity, assist employees and visitors with directions and questions, and communicate clearly with site contacts and your team. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to site employees, contractors, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, labs, offices, parking areas, and perimeter routes, documenting observed conditions and reporting concerns.
- Monitor access points and verify credentials as required, helping to control entry to authorized areas while maintaining a professional, service-oriented presence.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and service calls in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating notifications and support for site management and/or emergency services as needed.
- Complete detailed reports and logs, including patrol activity, incident documentation, and shift handoff information, using written and/or electronic reporting tools.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
