As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a leading tech, media, and telecom location, you will monitor entry points, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents. Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a tech, media, or telecom location.
• Monitor and manage access control points to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain the integrity of restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter potential risks and identify unusual activity.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with visitors, employees, and/or contractors regarding access protocols and security-related matters.
• Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and/or activities as required by site procedures.
• Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site personnel to help to maintain a secure environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license in the job state is required for driving positions.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Willingness to work at locations with limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets or rustic guard shacks is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
