Security Officer - Mall Patrol

As a Security Officer - Mall Patrol in Nashville, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a bustling retail or mall location, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible to guests and staff. You will conduct routine patrols, respond to situations as needed, and provide outstanding customer service and communication, all while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first in a dynamic environment.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to guests, tenants, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies throughout the retail or mall location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing de-escalation techniques as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the interior and exterior areas of the retail or mall property to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Observe and report any unusual activity, maintenance issues, or hazards to the appropriate personnel or management.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, exits, and restricted areas as required by site procedures.
• Support emergency response activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
• Document incidents, observations, and daily activities in written reports as directed by site requirements.
• Provide directions and general assistance to visitors, helping to create a welcoming environment while maintaining security-related awareness.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
