Security Officer - Loss Prevention Patrol

As a Security Officer - Loss Prevention Patrol in Phoenix, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail and/or mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a highly visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support store teams and shoppers with customer service and clear communication. You will complete routine rounds, observe activity, document concerns, and share timely updates. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a retail location.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the sales floor, entrances, exits, stock areas, and perimeter to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or other unwanted activity.
• Monitor for suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or disturbances; respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and contact local law enforcement and/or management as needed.
• Assist with access control and loss prevention support by observing entry and exit activity, addressing loitering and/or trespassing, and providing directions and information to shoppers and staff.
• Complete required documentation such as incident reports, daily activity logs, and/or shift handoff notes; communicate observations and recommendations to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Loss Prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
