As a Security Officer Identity Verification in Freeport, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal in a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location as an Access Control Officer, where you will monitor entry points, verify badges and credentials, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence and strong communication. You will provide customer-focused service while supporting a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative team that values integrity and teamwork in every interaction.

Pay Rate: $13.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate for the location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorizations, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity in accordance with site protocols.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual conditions in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, perimeter, and designated access areas to help identify unauthorized activity and support security-related operations.
• Prepare clear reports on daily activities, access control events, and incident observations, and relay important information during shift handoff and/or to Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
