What You'll Do
- Provide customer service to staff, patients, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with supervisors and/or local responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, access concerns, and/or conditions that may require attention.
- Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by verifying credentials, following visitor procedures, and reporting security-related issues according to site protocols.
- Support daily operations by providing directions, assisting with routine inquiries, and completing detailed activity and incident reports in a timely manner.
- A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
- Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
- Applicants must be willing to meet hospital vaccine requirements.
- Applicants must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment.
- Applicants must have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
- Applicants must have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience, or at least 2 years of security-related supervisor or manager experience, or at least 5 years of security-related experience.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
- 1 Years' Law Enforcement Experience OR 2 Years' Security Supervisor/Manager Experience OR 3 Years' Security Experience.
- 2 Years' Service in Healthcare/Medical‐Related Field.
