Security Officer - Hospital Patrol - Afternoon Shift

As a Security Officer - Hospital Patrol - Afternoon Shift in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a healthcare location, where you will conduct routine rounds, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with strong customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $18.54 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, hallways, waiting areas, and other assigned locations, assisting with access control, visitor interactions, and direction-giving in a professional manner.
• Support hospital and clinic operations by reporting hazards, suspicious activity, and/or policy concerns, while following post orders and Allied Universal guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

• A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Hospital vaccination requirements must be met.
• Must be able to work in a hospital environment that includes morgue areas.
• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment.
• A minimum of 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field is required.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
