As a Security Officer - Hospital Intake Control in Bronx, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a government healthcare location supporting vaccination operations, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and assist staff and visitors with clear, professional communication. You will document observations, respond to requests, and contribute to a caring culture that puts people first, delivering through teamwork with integrity in an agile, reliable, and innovative environment.

What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures, access control policies, and emergency response activities at a government healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, medical facility disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site leadership and public agency partners as directed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter, reporting unusual activity, hazards, and/or maintenance issues through the required channels.
- Monitor entrances, controlled areas, and/or camera systems; assist with visitor routing, badge checks, and authorized property removal processes in accordance with site policies.
- Complete required reports and documentation such as incident reports, shift logs, and pass-down notes, and communicate updates to Allied Universal supervision and the site contact.
Minimum Requirements:
- This is a hospital post where vaccines are required.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
