As a Security Officer Government Building Access Control in Irvine, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic tech-focused location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this role, you will support daily operations with professionalism while reflecting our agile, reliable, and innovative approach, a caring culture, teamwork, and integrity.

Position Type: Full Time / Overnight Shift 

Pay Rate: $24.31 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control practices, and/or emergency response activities within a technology-focused location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations in accordance with post instructions.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, work areas, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify conditions that may require attention.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials when required, and report suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations to the appropriate contacts.
• Support day-to-day security-related operations by maintaining a visible presence, following Allied Universal post orders, and communicating clearly with site personnel and/or first responders when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• The client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
