As an Access Control Officer at a busy retail distribution location, you will help manage entry and exit points for team members, visitors, and deliveries, verify credentials, maintain clear logs, and communicate concerns to site leadership. You will remain highly visible, conduct routine rounds near access areas, and support customer service with professional, respectful interactions. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to onsite personnel, drivers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Control access at entrances and/or gates by verifying identification, managing visitor and contractor sign-in, issuing temporary badges as directed, and directing arrivals to proper check-in areas.
• Support dock and yard operations by processing inbound and outbound truck traffic, confirming appointments and/or delivery paperwork as required by site procedures, and documenting activity in logs.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, suspicious activity, and policy violations to site contacts and Allied Universal supervision.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter, and complete required patrol documentation and incident reports.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
