You will monitor entry points, verify credentials, issue badges and visitor passes, and complete routine patrols to help to deter incidents. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to all personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
• Control access at gates, lobbies, and/or checkpoints by verifying identification and authorization, issuing temporary credentials as directed, maintaining visitor logs, and directing arrivals to the proper destinations.
• Monitor alarms, access control systems, and/or CCTV for unusual activity, report concerns promptly, and document events per post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating notifications to site contacts and/or emergency services as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, critical areas, and the perimeter, noting irregular conditions, helping to deter unauthorized entry, and completing required reports.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have a minimum of 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be able to lift up to 20 lbs, preferred.
• Have access control and/or badge experience, preferred.
• Have customer service experience, preferred.
• Have a guard card and/or license, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
