Security Officer - Gate Entry Control

As a Security Officer - Gate Entry Control in Lithia Springs, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry and exit points, verify badges and visitor credentials, and support security-related screening for employees, drivers, and guests. You will stay visible, conduct routine rounds, document activity, and communicate clearly using a computer and/or tablet. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, drivers, and visitors by following access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Control entry and exit at gates and/or access points by verifying identification, checking credentials, issuing visitor passes, and directing traffic flow to designated areas.
• Monitor CCTV, alarms, and access control systems to identify security-related concerns, document activity, and help to deter unauthorized access.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications and supporting first responders as directed by post orders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, loading docks, staging areas, and the perimeter, noting irregular conditions and reporting maintenance and/or security-related issues.

Minimum Requirements:

• Security experience of 1 years is required.
• Be 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
