As a Security Officer - Full Time in Fort Madison, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic food and beverage location as an Access Control Officer, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. This role blends customer service, communication, and attention to detail while supporting a caring team that values agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, visitor processing, badge verification, and/or contractor check-in practices at a food and beverage location.
• Monitor entry and exit points for employees, visitors, vendors, and/or delivery drivers to help support authorized access and help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site contacts and/or emergency responders when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate logs, reports, and/or access records related to arrivals, departures, deliveries, and other security-related activity.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, including perimeter areas, gates, parking areas, and receiving zones, while observing for security-related concerns and reporting issues promptly.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
