Security Officer Full Time

As a Security Officer Alarm Verification Patrol in Newark, DE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while contributing to a caring, reliable team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare and pharmaceutical research location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including building entrances, parking areas, perimeter points, and restricted-access locations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and assist with maintaining orderly entry and exit procedures for the location.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately in required reports, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
