Job Description

As a Security Officer - Full Time Shopping Center Patrol in San Marcos, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic retail location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. In this people-first role, you will support a welcoming environment through teamwork, integrity, and a reliable, agile approach each day.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site management and/or local authorities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout storefront areas, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help to deter unauthorized access, policy violations, and/or suspicious behavior while maintaining a visible presence.
• Support access control, crowd flow, and customer assistance efforts during business hours, peak shopping periods, and/or special events as directed by site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
