Security Officer Full Time Armed Patrol

As a Security Officer Full Time Armed Patrol in Norfolk, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism and care. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, donors, visitors, and staff while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and first responders as needed.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as required, and help maintain orderly movement throughout the location.
• Carry and maintain assigned firearm and other equipment in accordance with applicable laws, licensing requirements, Allied Universal policies, and site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
