As a Security Officer - in Cambridge, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will be the first point of contact for visitors and staff, helping to maintain a secure environment through access control and monitoring entry points. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk of a healthcare location.
- Monitor access to the facility by verifying identification, managing visitor logs, and issuing badges as required.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations at the front desk in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
- Assist with emergency response activities as directed by site management and Allied Universal protocols.
- Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related concerns, or potential hazards within the immediate area of responsibility.
- Maintain a visible presence at the front desk to help to deter unauthorized access and/or disruptive behavior.
- Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and staff, providing information and assistance as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
