As a Security Officer - Front Desk Checkpoint in Newark, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As a Front Desk Officer at a residential location, you will welcome residents and guests, manage access control and badges, monitor cameras and alarms, and document security-related activity with clear communication. You will be a visible, professional presence that helps to deter incidents while delivering people-first customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors at the front desk by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor lobby and front desk activity, observe access points, and help to deter unauthorized entry through visitor screening and controlled access practices.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting details and notifying site leadership and/or emergency services as required.
• Operate the access control and visitor management process, including issuing and tracking visitor passes, managing keys and/or credentials, and maintaining accurate sign-in and sign-out logs.
• Complete security-related reports, incident logs, and shift activity documentation, and communicate relevant updates during shift transitions.

Minimum Requirements:

• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
