As a Security Officer - Foot Patrol Detail in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading tech and telecom location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible, and support access control and visitor flows while documenting security-related activity. You will be a calm, professional presence who communicates clearly, provides customer service, and helps build a welcoming environment for employees and guests. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of offices, labs, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed, manage visitor check-in and/or badging, and communicate site rules in a professional manner.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with on-site contacts and/or public responders as needed.
• Complete detailed written reports, patrol logs, and incident documentation, and communicate significant observations to supervision and site leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• Guard Card/License is preferred.
• CPR Certification is preferred.
• Lift Up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
