What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond appropriately to emergencies as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations within the retail or mall environment in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter undesirable activity and identify potential concerns.
- Maintain a visible presence to help to deter theft, vandalism, and other unwanted activity within the retail or mall environment.
- Observe and report any suspicious behavior, hazards, or security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Work collaboratively with other Allied Universal team members and location staff to address security-related needs and concerns.
- Assist customers, visitors, and tenants with questions, directions, or other support as required.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
