As a Screener in a government location, you will play a key role in monitoring and patrolling assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, remaining highly visible, and delivering outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving position. What You'll Do:

• Conduct screening of individuals entering the location to help to deter unauthorized access and/or prohibited items.
• Follow site-specific policies and procedures related to screening and access control.
• Provide customer service by assisting visitors and staff with inquiries and directions as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Document and report any suspicious activity, incidents, or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain a visible presence at screening areas to help to deter potential security-related threats.
• Participate in emergency response activities as directed by site management and Allied Universal protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or a college degree is required.
• Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
