Job Description

As a Security Officer -  F/T Access Verification Construction in BOISE, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location, where you will monitor entry points, manage badges and visitor access, conduct routine patrols, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. In this role, you will help support a professional, welcoming environment while working with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, caring, and integrity.

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor authorizations, and document arrivals, departures, and/or deliveries in accordance with site protocols.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
• Help to deter unauthorized access and support security-related operations by reporting suspicious activity, maintaining detailed logs, and following post orders for restricted areas.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
