Security Officer - Entry Screening Desk

As a Security Officer - Entry Screening Desk in Orlando, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Screener at a government location, you will greet visitors, support access control at the entry point, and conduct screening and bag checks to help identify prohibited items. You will monitor activity near checkpoints, document security-related incidents, and communicate clearly with staff and the public while delivering a welcoming experience. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors and staff at a government services location by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Screen and control access for employees, visitors, vendors, and deliveries by checking identification, confirming appointments, and directing individuals to the appropriate service area.
• Monitor entry points and public areas for unusual activity, help to deter unauthorized access, and promptly report concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalating conflicts when appropriate and requesting assistance from site leadership and/or public responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including building entrances, waiting areas, parking areas, and perimeter routes, with working environments and conditions varying by location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have Security Experience ‐ 1 Years.
• Be 21 Years of Age.
• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
