Security Officer - Entry Screening Desk

As a Security Officer - Entry Screening Desk in Greensboro, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Screener in a healthcare location, you will greet patients, visitors, and staff while supporting a welcoming experience at key entry points. You will conduct screening tasks, maintain a visible presence, and communicate clearly with clinical teams to help identify and report security-related concerns. You will also complete routine checks and follow site procedures with integrity, teamwork, and a people-first approach aligned with Allied Universal values.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following site-specific screening procedures at healthcare facility entry points, including greeting, directing, and answering routine questions.
• Conduct security-related screening of people and permitted items using approved methods and equipment, requesting secondary screening and/or supervisor support when needed.
• Monitor access points and nearby areas for unusual activity, help to deter unauthorized entry, and report concerns according to post orders and Allied Universal guidelines.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including summoning clinical staff and/or emergency services and documenting actions taken.
• Complete required logs and incident reports, communicate screening updates to site leadership and Allied Universal management, and participate in regular and random patrols as assigned around the building and perimeter.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
