As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Lobby in North Charleston, SC, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

How This Role Works:
- Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
- Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.
This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service at the front desk by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Monitor lobby and entrance activity, greet visitors, verify identification and/or visitor access requirements, and direct patients, guests, and staff according to location protocols.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
- Support front desk operations by answering routine questions, maintaining visitor logs and/or badge records, and reporting unusual activity to help with a professional and orderly environment.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
