As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Guest Services in St Petersburg, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service at the front desk by following site-specific policies, visitor management procedures, and security-related protocols for a utility location.
• Greet, screen, and direct visitors, employees, contractors, and deliveries; verify access credentials and maintain accurate visitor logs.
• Monitor access points, alarms, cameras, and/or communications equipment from the assigned post, and report unusual activity or maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established response procedures and notifying required contacts.
• Maintain a professional front-desk presence, answer incoming calls, provide basic site information, and support a welcoming environment for authorized visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
