As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Baton Patrol in Atlanta, GA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and service providers by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the shelter location, including common areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter, to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with maintaining an orderly environment, and communicate policy-related concerns to appropriate site personnel.
• Prepare accurate reports of incidents, observations, and daily activities, and communicate relevant information during shift transitions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess at least 5 years of security-related experience.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and batons is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
