Security Officer - Dock Master

As a Security Officer - Dock Master in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and communication. You will conduct routine patrols, respond to site needs, and contribute to Allied Universal's caring culture by working with agility, reliability, teamwork, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, tenants, shoppers, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report details according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout retail common areas, storefront corridors, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter, noting unusual activity and helping to deter unauthorized behavior.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help support orderly access, observe security-related concerns, and communicate with site contacts when needed.
• Assist with documenting daily activities, incidents, and/or maintenance or life-support concerns, and provide information or directions to the public as appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess 5 or more years of security-related experience.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
