Security Officer - Distribution Center

As a Security Officer - Distribution Center in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor access points, screen visitors and/or deliveries, and conduct routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents. In this visible role, you will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring culture built on agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by following site-specific procedures, screening protocols, and Allied Universal standards at a busy logistics and distribution location.
• Screen individuals, personal property, packages, and/or vehicles entering or leaving the location in accordance with post orders and established screening procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report details to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as appropriate.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or shipment documentation when required, and help to deter unauthorized access or removal of property.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including interior and perimeter locations, while observing for suspicious activity, operational concerns, and other security-related issues.

Minimum Requirements:

• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
