Security Officer - Credential Check

As a Security Officer Credential Check in Princeton, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy retail location where you will help manage access control, monitor entry points, and support a welcoming environment for customers, visitors, and staff. In this role, you will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and respond to security-related concerns with strong communication and professionalism. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by following site-specific procedures, monitoring entry and exit activity, and supporting security-related protocols at a retail location.
• Control access for team members, vendors, visitors, and/or deliveries by checking credentials, logging arrivals, and reporting unusual activity through proper channels.
• Respond to incidents, policy concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store, receiving areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify conditions that may require attention.
• Support asset protection and loss prevention efforts by observing customer and employee traffic, documenting incidents, and communicating security-related concerns with site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
