Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: Starting pay is $18.37 / Hour increasing to $21.05 / Hour in annual increment

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a government location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with supervisors and/or public agency contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and report maintenance, access, and/or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and public areas, verify authorized entry when required, and provide directions or assistance while following post orders and location protocols.
• Support daily operations by preparing reports, noting security-related concerns, and assisting with crowd, visitor, and/or after-hours access management based on location needs.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have a valid State of MI CPL
• Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
