As a Security Officer Court Room in Detroit, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a government location, where you will monitor entry points, screen visitors and property, and help support a professional environment through visible presence, strong communication, and attention to detail. You will conduct routine patrols, document security-related activity, and deliver customer service with integrity, teamwork, and a people-first approach that reflects our agile, reliable, and innovative culture.

Pay Rate: $21.05 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related screening procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
• Screen visitors, employees, and/or contractors entering the location by following access control procedures and checking authorized entry requirements.
• Monitor entry points and guide guests through screening equipment and/or manual inspection processes in a calm, professional manner.
• Respond to incidents, prohibited item discoveries, and/or critical situations with sound judgment and clear communication.
• Document screening activity, report unusual conditions, and/or communicate observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
